Protecting Leather Seats from Sun Damage
June 30, 2026
Leather seats are a premium investment, but the sun is their biggest enemy.
Why Leather Cracks
Leather is essentially skin. When exposed to extreme UV rays and heat, the natural oils evaporate, leaving it dry, stiff, and prone to cracking.
The Two-Step Defense
1. Always use a windshield sunvisor to physically block the UV rays.
2. Condition your leather every 3-6 months to replenish the lost oils. Combined, these steps will keep your seats supple for decades.
